Why simla conference failed?

The Simla Conference of 1945 failed due to deep-seated differences between the Indian National Congress and the Muslim League regarding the future of India. The Congress sought a united India, while the Muslim League demanded a separate state for Muslims, which created an impasse. Additionally, the British government was unable to mediate effectively between the conflicting interests, leading to a breakdown in negotiations.
