in a water line, it will be at the hot water tank and the fixtures. If it is the water line replace with pex, it is very cheap and better than copper.

Although i agree with the statement above to a certain degree. This is open to opinion, Copper carries every bureau of compliance requirements where as pex does not even have one. Most insurance companies will only insure you with copper piping or galvanised piping as pex piping is not recognised.
