There are numerous ways to create a CD with Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

Right click on the Desktop and select New Folder from the menu. Add content to the folder and give it a name. Right click on the folder and select "Burn Your Folder's Name to Disc...". You will then be advised to insert a blank disc and how much space is required for the contents of the folder.

Select New Burn Folder from the File menu of the Finder/Desktop. Add content to the folder and then click the Burn button in the upper right corner.

To burn an audio CD from iTunes: create a Playlist and add the desired tracks to the playlist. Right click on the playlist's name and select "Burn playlist to disc" from the menu.
