Illegal Immigration often involves criminal syndicates. Russian & Italian Mafia in the Western World and the Chinese Triads are in main control in the Far East.

In the United States, the majority of illegal immigrations involve the Chinese Triads (Pacific), the Russian/Italian Mafia (East Coast), and Mexican Cartels (South)
