Why do Hispanics have long last names?

They list all of their relatives (fathers, brothers, uncles) and neighbors who have molested them, separated by hyphens.

e.g. Yolanda Ortega-Ortiz-Hernandez-Rodriguez-Herrera-Olivos-Sanchez-Martinez etc.
