That's no problem at all, and it should cause you no concern. When you travel
from southern Ecuador to northern Ecuador, your route must cross the equator.
The equator crosses Ecuador, and is defined as the boundary line between the
northern and southern hemispheres. Consequently, part of Ecuador is in the
northern hemisphere, while the rest of that country is in the southern one, and
when you travel between those two parts of the country ... via either the shorter
route or the longer one ... you also cross the line between those two hemispheres.
