Let's see...
deep infections because you used an unsterile needle to do it, and no dunking it in alcohol or using your lighter will NOT sterilize it, sorry.
Lots of pain because you used a regular needle instead of a piercing needle, and a regular needle isn't sharp enough to go through all that meat.
bad placement because you don't really know where it's supposed to go.
even more pain because you're gonna go "oh this will hurt like hell so I'll just go slow..." when the way to make it NOT hurt like hell is to go quickly
and trauma caused by you not knowing how to transfer the jewelry into the hole. Someone had the idea to use a safety pin to pierce something. Piercers use a needle that can be passed through the hole, and they push it out with the jewelry. A safety pin you'd have to pull out backwards, and that will screw things all up.
This is something you really want to pay to have done.
well i had a friend who had 1 oh is friends peirce his lip for him and his lip got infected and had a big bubble on his lip because i geuss the needle was made of something that is bad to peirce your lips with but it got better after a couple weeks so i geuss its not that bad
My friend did it with her earing that she had and now theres a big bubble with green coating te holes

If you really want it done that badly (and don't want to go, or can't go to a professional) make sure you get a proper piercing needle. Go to Amazon or a needle supply and order some (they're usually pretty cheap, I got ten 14g for 2 bucks), but keep in mind they will only sell them to you if you're 18 or older.
No matter what please please please do NOT use a regular needle to do this, it could cause serious damage such as scarring, and possible permanent dis-figuration. Not to scare you or anything but it can be a big deal. The main difference between a regular needle (like a sowing needle or a safety pin) and a piercing needle is that a piercing needle has a hollow inside so instead of pushing the skin away from the point of insertion, it literally removes it, reducing the risk of severe scarring.
Also, make sure you take a fine point marker of some kind and mark the point where you want your piercing to go through, that way you have some sort of idea.
