What toys could children make in World War 2?

Depending on the country the child lived in they could make toys from paper, cardboard, wood, string, discards of clothing and shoes for make believe games, and they could make fishing poles. It was not just war time kids made toys or adults made them. Kids pretty much stopped making their own toys when the video game compulsion came around.
