Pluto is not classified as one of the main planets in our solar system; it is categorized as a dwarf planet. It is the ninth largest and tenth most massive known object directly orbiting the Sun. In terms of distance from the Sun, it is the ninth object, but since its reclassification in 2006, it is no longer considered one of the primary planets, which are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.
