What language did disaster come from?

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the Word "désastre" was recorded in 1564. However, it looks like the French may have taken the Word from the Italian "disastro", which meant "bad luck" or "An unfavourable aspect of a star or planet," which has origins in the Latin term "astrum" for "star".
