Who is at fault if you open your car door in a parking lot and damage another parked car?

This is obvious, you are. If you find you cannot get out without hitting or tapping the car next to you, PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE. I know most of us wish we could punish that S.O.B who takes up somewhat more than one space or even two spaces, but let it go and park elsewhere.
