A Coroner is not a law enforcement agent in the legal meaning of the definition. However, if your home is the location (or suspected location) of a crime scene - and the Coroner's Office is conducting an investigation or collecting evidence - they would have the authority (and usually the assistance) of law enforcement in their investigation . . . for which a warrant MAY be required.

Every situation stands on its own and, therefore, generalized questions and generalized answers may not apply.
