What is the most poisonous snake in Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania lists three venomous (not poisonous, since venom is injected and not ingested), the Northern Copperhead, the Timber Rattlesnake and the Eastern Massasauga which is an endangered species.

The Massasauga is the most venomous and the least likely to be observed. Observed is the operative Word since snake bites are a very rare occurrence and death resulting from snakebite happen only about 15 times each year in the United States according to the Center for Disease Control. Out of every 500 people who are bitten in the US by a venomous snake 499 will survive.
