Children and adolescents bully other children and adolescents because of their clothing because they feel something is missing in their life. The want to be shown as strong and powerful, they want to be respected. When they have power, everyone else wants to be like them. And that, in their eyes, is the ultimate position. Clothes are quite generally the easiest thing to pick on for. No one can have perfect fashion sense most of the time, and when they slip up the 'shameful' article of clothing is easy to see, so others can agree and not think the bullies prejudiced. Does that help anyone?
