What are the symptoms of a bad fuel pump for a 1994 gmc truck?

im haveing fuel pump probs as well . umight ant to check the wiring make sure the pump is getting power cause i put a new pump in an it still wont start all the time cause its not getting power to it im trying to find a wire diagram so i can trace it back to the source
