Should you use thread sealer on head bolts for Chevy 350 to prevent water leakage?

They absolutely have to have silicon or some very good thread sealer. You WILL have a leak intoo your oil and ruin a good motor very quickly! RTV black silicon is best directly on the bolt or stud.
