What is a stray thunderstorm?

it means that mother nature has been taking a while to make a thunderstorm happen like say if they say around 12:00 noon they say stray afternoon thunderstorm possible that means it could happen around in the afternoon hours or evening hours with rain, lightning, and winds, we are going to get one Monday. Just hope it happens when I get home to let my pet's inside.
