Why are panda Bears in dangered of extinction?

Panda bears are endangered because of human encroachment into their habitat. They live on a diet of bamboo, vines, grass, rodents, small birds, fish. Giant Pandas are very slow to reproduce. The government in China is trying to conserve their habitat and is also undertaking a series of captive breeding programs to ensure the survival of the species.
