How many miles from the North Pole to the South Pole?

It's quite a little ways. Last time I walked from Denver to the South Pole, it took quite a while. Actually, it's about 14,000 miles. You know as well as I do, this was a fairly dumb question! However, the correct answer is "it depends which way you go!"
