Where is fort Scott located in?

Fort Scott is located in southeastern Kansas, United States. It is situated in Bourbon County, approximately 100 miles south of Kansas City. The fort, established in 1842, played a significant role in the westward expansion and the conflicts leading up to the Civil War. Today, it is preserved as a historic site and is part of the Fort Scott National Historic Site.
