How do I change the turn signal flasher on a 2003 Lincoln Aviator?

Well, I found the answer to my own question. Upon further inspection, I located the somewhat hidden module that contains the electronic flasher(s) under the dash. If facing forward in the driver's seat, the module is secured inside the dash directly above the visible diagnostic tool connector (plug that is mounted on the bottom front of the dash near the accelerator pedal). The module is basically a small black rectangular box with a removable snap-on lid. I found that it's best to detach the module first (which slides onto a metal support and is locked into place by a snap fastener under the dash) and move it down in the open for better access. Once the module is disconnected from the support and brought down for better access, the lid can then be easily removed to expose the flasher. Then, it's only a matter of removing the old flasher and installing the new. Snap the lid back on and the module can then be reinstalled under the dash.
