Is copper good for swimming pools?

what i heard is that ,copper is the best thing to swimming pool's,is natural, health, environment friendly, less expensive than chlorine because you just add a little bit of product once every 2 weeks, people say you save on energy because the product is self-dispersing there is no need to run the pump for 8 hours, 3 hours a day is enough the problem is there is a lot of different products out there. "Not all black liquid is coke" so be careful , I'm using a product that is really good they sell it in this web site www.goodbyechlorine.com ,what i learned is that every body who say bad things about copper is because they sell chlorine only, so they don't want you to know anything else.
