What are the best table decorations for Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is a harvest celebration. Your colour scheme should be golds, Oranges, rusts, browns, lush reds and greens.

As the celebration is about the harvest, your table and dining room should be the center point. If you do not have a "harvest" table cloth, a bright white one will do with lots of fresh fall flowers, napkins in gold or brown, and your best china, crystal and flatware sparkling in the light of fat candles will set the tone.

Make the house warm and inviting, add seasonal throws, and pillows. If you are so inclined you may want to change your accessories to fall/winter colours and textures.

Light a fire in the fireplace, put a container of fire-starter pine cones in easy reach. Keep a basket of bright red and green Apples on the counter in the kitchen. A woven basket of gourds and coloured corn make a nice addition to the entry way. And don't forget to simmer some Apple cider on the stove, not just because it smels wonderful, but because it tastes good too.
