I have a 1998 vectra and when i rev something happens but i cant see from inside but i was woundering how do i rev the car from inside the engine?

Open the bonnet and to the left your see the air filter box follow intake pipes till you see a cable that runs to the intake manifold its there

Sounds to me the cambelt tensioner has weakened causing a rattle sound around 2000-3000 rpm
