Well, according to the Christmas special. I think Bryn and Jason started hugging and doing inappropriate things. That is what i think but nobody will ever know. Apparently , after an interview with Ruth Jones and James Cordon, Smithy and Nessa, The script writers, said that they don't even know what happened and they just followed basic storyline.
