Can you back out of a signed plea in AZ superior courts?

In Arizona, once a defendant has signed a plea agreement and the court has accepted it, backing out can be challenging. Generally, a defendant may seek to withdraw a plea, but they must demonstrate a valid reason, such as misunderstanding the terms or being misled by counsel. The request to withdraw must be made before sentencing, and the court has discretion in granting it. After sentencing, it becomes significantly more difficult to reverse a plea.
