What does finding white feathers with black tips on them mean?

Not all naturally occurring phenomenon ca or should be intrepreted as a sign of omen. White feathers with black at the tip are common from several species of sea gulls. Unless you live in a land locked area sea gulls are just about everywhere and therefore finding a feather from one is not uncommon.
