Why do they call the website Bing?

This is actually kinda funny we were at lunch one day and my friend asks me why they call it bing and i had no answer so the person nxt 2 me, my best friend, says well what about B-because I-its N-not G-google! ever since then bing has been an inside joke between all of us!
