Can lemsteraaks sail in open tidal seas?

Lemsteraken, traditional Dutch boats from the Friesland region, are primarily designed for use in inland waters and coastal areas rather than open tidal seas. While they possess a sturdy construction and can handle some rough conditions, their design is not optimized for the challenges posed by open sea environments, such as larger waves and strong currents. Therefore, while they might venture into tidal areas, they are not ideally suited for long-distance sailing in open seas.
