Should middle schoolers have cell phones?

Yes, for a few reasons. If they walk home alone or their parents work and they have to go home to an empty house, also because they're getting more mature and alot of kids have cell phones in middle school or are getting one, it's a big deal. 1. In case of an emergency, middle school children can be saved by having a cell phone. 2. If parents have busy schedules or have to work late, children with cell phone would be able to call their parents and let them know where they are and what they are going to do. 3. Phones can give parents communication throughout the day to know children's whereabouts.
