Who founded the Relay For Life organization?

As per the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life was founded in 1986 by Dr. Gordy Klatt, a Tacoma, Washington colorectal surgeon.

and this year we celebrate the 25th year of hope to celebrate the lost the remember the taken and the keep fighting back till the cure is found even if it takes another 25 , 50 ,or even 100 years we can do it
