Can you get registration and tags with out a license in NJ?

In New Jersey, you cannot obtain vehicle registration and license plates without a valid driver's license. However, if you do not have a driver's license, you may still register a vehicle if you can provide proof of identity and residency, and you can designate someone else to handle the registration process on your behalf. This designated person must have a valid license. Always check with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission for the most current requirements.
