Gerhard Rommel, the son of the famous German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, lived a relatively private life after World War II. He worked in various professions, including as an entrepreneur and in the field of education. Gerhard also sought to clear his father's name from post-war controversies surrounding his alleged involvement in the July 20, 1944, assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler. He passed away in 2021.
