Do rabbits get too hot very easily even if it has enough water?

rabbits can get hot easily if you have them in your cage or hutch. rabbits cool themselves down by letting heat out through their ears. the best thing you can do to keep your bunny cool when its warmer out is to freeze bottles of water and put them inside the cage. your rabbit will sit next to it and cool down =] Rabbits do not sweat or pant to cool themselves, their cooling system is in their ears. The blood runs through the large veins in their ears and cools down. An ice bottle will help them cool down, so will a fan circulating the air in your rabbitry. This fan SHOULD NOT blow directly on the rabbit but circulate air either above or below the cage.
