What is the differancs between a Geographic map a political map and a historical map?

Political maps show states,countries,capitals etc. Physical maps show mountains and deserts, rivers and other features. Resource maps vary a lot, but generally show the distribution of a quantity someone is particularly interested in, for instance the locations of copper mines or Swimming Pools.
