If Saudi Arabia was never colonized why did Saudis need independence?

1- Some parts of the eastern and the western provinces ware colonized by English and old Turkish governments. 2- Saudi Arabia was considered as many small conflicted ununited states, the grand grand family of current king Abdullah ben Abdulaziz Al-Saud whom coled (Al-Saud) they worked to gother it and made it united as one kingdom. that is why we call it (Saudi)
