Pain is normal for up to 3-5 days after an extraction. However, If you notice foul tastes or drainage from the extraction site, accompanied with very intense pain, then you need to see your Dentist or Oral Surgeon.

These are signs of a complication called Dry Socket, in which the blood clot that forms at the extraction site became dislodged or never formed. However, after visiting your Dentist or Oral Surgeon, they will pack it and you should feel very much so better.
