Why does air conditioner in 2006 Toyota tundra smell like mildew?

The most likely cause is mold or bacteria growth in the cabin air filter.

Replacing it takes about 5 minutes and usually solves the issue. It is located right behind the lower glove box on the passenger side of the truck.
