Why did Hatsheput go to Punt?

Hatshepsut, the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, organized an expedition to the Land of Punt primarily to establish trade relations and acquire valuable goods such as gold, incense, myrrh, and exotic animals. This voyage was also a way to legitimize her reign and showcase her power and wealth.
