If a guy winks and smiles at you and the next time you hold eye contact with him and he gives you a blank look?

OK this could mean one of three things he like you a lot but doesn't know if you like him and he doesn't want u to no that he likes you or that he didn't no that you saw him wink and didn't want you to no and then felt embarrassed that you did see so covered it up by giving you a blank or it should be he was winking at someone else.
