What is the ecological niche of grey squirrel?

The grey squirrel's live in habitats where they are the prey. They spread around nuts of large trees and eat/store them for the winter. They hide seeds they cannot carry and sometimes forget where they were hidden. Also by eating the seeds and then pooping, they spread the seeds way further than the trees ever could. They live in large forests usually around Oak Trees. Their adaptions are their sharp claws for holding onto branches. :)
