What do you need to make a compost bin?

Plywood, pressure-treated hardwoods and snow fencing for containers and prunings, sawdust and twigs for materials are the wood which should be used to build a compost pile.

Clippings, sawdust and twigs - which need to be piled up on the bottom of the pile if they are incorporated into the heap - may be used as compostable materials. Other than the bottom layer, clipped/pruned/trimmed wood and sawdust must be cut down in very small pieces and sprinkled in light layers.
