I just searched on google, and it looks like you should use 100% cocoa butter. I also read that Vitamin E helps, and one of the google Ads mentioned a product called Dermisil. I have been tanning for about a month now, on and off. When I began I had significant noticable scars near my underarms and my waistline, due to a ten pound weight loss/gain fluctuation over a period of a few years.

I use Tone 24 Hour Quick Absorbing Body Lotion moisturizing lotion a quick rub in the am and another in the pm, daily, as it contains cocoa butter as well as Aloe Vera and Papaya (smells delicious --the island mist scent) which is crucial to any tanning endeavor...And while tanning I'm using Australian Gold Crystal 5 dimension bronzing lotion which contains 5 bronzing agents and 21 nutrients (black walnut, DHA, lipobronze yada yada yada) ... So far my stretch mark scars are alot less prominent and my skin looks great- the elasticity and softness has improved.

Sephora sells many bronzing lotions and potions that give you a deep, rich looking tan almost to the point of not noticing scar tissue, which is another great option.

My experience with Mystic Tanning booths was successful as well.

  • Note: scars never dissappear unless perhaps you partake in laser therapy but they can be disguised.
