How long can your child go without seeing his dad?

A child needs his father, just as much as he needs his mother. Whether or not the child can see his dad, it will be an adjustment because both of the parents are considered security blankets, and if one is not their, there will be feelings of abandonment and who knows what will go through the childs head. The child can not go for very long without seeing his father.

If the child is in another persons legal custody by the ruling of a court, the amount of time (if any) to be set aside for the child's visitation with the father will be set forth in the order. Any violation of that order by the custodial parent will be dealt with as a 'contempt of court' issue.
