How many eggs can a redfin lay?

A redfin, or redfin perch (Perca fluviatilis), can lay between 10,000 to 100,000 eggs during a single spawning season, depending on the size and age of the fish. The eggs are typically laid in shallow waters and adhere to vegetation or substrate until they hatch. The high number of eggs increases the chances of survival for at least some of the offspring, as many will be preyed upon or face environmental challenges.
