Can State Agriculture Department restrict the sales of nitrobenzene?

Yes. It has to stop the sales of Nitrobeneze in granular form and in liquid form. It is largely sold in India. State Agriculture Department can stop them for wrongful label claims made by the Agricultural Inputs companies who sells these quack product as Organic/Bio and cheat farmers and consumers.

Nitrobenzene is not a Natural Biofertilizer. It is a chemical compound synthesized from Benzene and is used as shoe polish,paint.

The most important reason why nitrobenze has to be stopped is because it causes cancer in human. It is highly restricted and dangerous industrial chemical sold in name of sustainable /organic input. It is classified by IARC as Group 2B carcinogen. This product is not registered for agriculture use in EU or in US.However this product is traded in large qty in India as Organic/Bio input for agriculture.

It is pathetic note that this cancer causing chemical is sold in India as Bio Flowering Booster on Vegetables. and is available at all pesticide stores and advised to be used on crop with knowing the danger about this chemical.

It poses huge health risk to consumer and the persons who work with this chemicals. Even some of the Certified Organic Farms were using these unlabelled products with out knowing the risk involved.
