Passat 1.8 turbo and chiptuning from 150 hp to 190 Does it use much more gas than standard?

It only uses more fuel if you floor it all the time. Generally a chip will increase the engine ignition timing as well and actually get better fuel mileage. My Passat gained 2 miles per gallon when cruising with the new programming.
