How do you put the anti-theft code in the stereo on a 1999 Montero Sport Limited?

We have a 2000, and all you need to do is push the radio channel buttons underneath the screen of your radio. When you do this, the blanks will turn to numbers in ascending order. Just push the button until your code is up, then hit the AM/FM button. You should be ready to go.
