Why doesnt he wants to state that he is in a relationship with you even after going out for 1 year plus to his college mates?

He may be just embarrassed to be in such a long term, steady relationship, sit him down and ask him if everything is ok. He needs to realise that at some point they are going to figure out he's in a relationship if you stay together. Good luck.
