Is an animal that eats mainly plants called a carnivore or herbivore?

Animals that only eat plants are called herbivores. They live off of completely plants, no meat, or anything else.

Animals that only eat meat are called carnivores. They only eat meat and nothing else. Not even plants.

Animals that eat meat and plants are called omnivores. They eat nothing but meat and plants.

But, vegetarians, just don't eat meat. They can eat plants, as well as lots of other food too. Like cheese, milk, cookies, etc.
